Anne Mintz is currently an independent researcher and part-time
librarian at several academic institutions. Previously, she served as
the Director of Knowledge Management at Forbes for more than two
decades, responsible for the research library and index, as well as
database and Internet training. Prior to joining Forbes, she managed
the research library at Lazard Freres, the investment bank, for 14
years. From 2007-2010 she taught research methods at the CUNY Graduate
School of Journalism and from 1989-1992 she served as an adjunct
lecturer at Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism, where
she taught courses about online databases. Anne served as the Online
Archivist at the JTA from 2011-2012, where she developed a proprietary
taxonomy and oversaw the tagging of the JTA Archive (archive.jta.org).
She is the award-winning editor of Web of Deception: Misinformation on
the Internet (2002), and Web of Deceit: Misinformation in the Age of
Social Media (2012) - both published by Cyberage Books. She earned a
masters degree in library and information services from Rutgers
University.
