Chuck Marvin graduated from the University of Texas (Austin) with a
BS in business and is now at work on a masters degree at NYU's Business
and Economic Reporting program. While in Texas, Marvin was the
acquisitions analyst and project manager for Buffington Capital
Holdings (2003-2004), where he constructed a satellite-based computer
database that monitored the real estate industry in real time. Prior to
that, he worked as an oil-and-gas financial analyst for Houston's
Whitmar Exploration (2001-2003), as well as a manager and equity
partner of a ranchland development project outside Austin. In 1997, as
a foreign relations intern for U.S. Senator Hank Brown, Marvin analyzed
European economic data and election results, which aided in the
drafting of a Senate bill that admitted three Eastern European
countires into NATO. He also organized and managed a hearing on the
Afghanistan civil war for a Senate subcommittee.
