Olga Kravets is a Moscow-born-and-based journalist for the BBC 's Russian Service. From 2002 to 2004, she served as an editor for the state-run RIA Novosti, one of Russia's biggest news agencies, as well as a staff writer for Baltiyskie Berega, a magazine published for countries in the Baltic region. Kravets has also worked as a correspondent and editor at online news agency Lenta.ru, as well as a writer for Kompaniya (a business weekly) and MosNews.com (an independent online news agency). Her articles have appeared in many Russian newspapers, in addition to publications that specialize in real estate, education, social problems and women's issues. In 2004, she assisted the (London) Sunday Times Magazine on its reporting on the aftermath of terrorism in Beslan, Russia.
